Just like with digital cameras and the old film cameras that you had to take to the film store to be processed. Digital is available instantly and can be saved to the computer to be enhanced and enlarged.

Digital radiography is also safer than computerized radiography because you are not exposed to as much radiation. Reports show you can get more radiation walking down the street than getting a digital x-ray. They are also convenient for the dentist to share your images with other professionals and insurance companies as necessary for referrals.
