Materials that may be used in cosmetic dentistry are composite resin (white filling), gold, silver, and other alloys. Some of these have a porcelain veneer for a more natural look.

A gum lift can be done to reshape the bones and tissue to straighten or lengthen your tooth look. Implants are also a cosmetic dental procedure to replace missing teeth. The teeth are made of porcelain and attached to titanium, which is inserted into the bone. Your dentist can perform some types of cosmetic dentistry, but many have to be done by a cosmetic dentist.
